Why we exist
Founded by Renee Bradford in 2007, First Purse, Inc. is based
on the Biblical parable of the Five Talents, which emphasizes the importance of understanding the richness and
the diversity of the God-given gifts and resources that we each have. The commitment of our treasures goes far
beyond just giving money; it encompasses our motives about just earning a living. First Purse, Inc. lends itself
in reshaping the definition of "wealth" to including discovering our vocation and philanthropic interests.
The main concept is to spend only what you need, share what you have and repay back everything that is borrowed.
First Purse, Inc. assists girls within civic organizations,
churches, schools and other groups to realize their financial potential. First Purse, Inc. strives to assist girls
to understand who they are, what their values are and why they should give back.
There are seven tenets that First Purse,
Inc. strives to instill in its participants:

1. Your worth isn't based on the things you own.
2. Be faithful with what you have at this moment and work toward
the rest.
3. Don't waste time and energy in worrying about what others
have, instead realize the power you possess to achieve.
4. No one owes you anything. Each of us has a responsibility
to achieve our personal best.
5. Follow your dreams and choose the road that you will take
carefully.
6. There is an abundance of life's gifts; great things in life
will never run out.
7.Be generous and share with others in need. |
